FINDING YOUR NEW PET

Whether you want a young or mature pet, a purebred or one-of-a-kind mixed breed, or even a bird, hamster, guinea pig or rabbit, our local shelters have the best variety of animals on the Peninsula! Unfortunately, approximately 2 out of every 3 pets surrendered to shelters never find new families. Together we have the power to change this sobering statistic by adopting from our local shelters and rescue groups.

Once you have made the exciting decision to adopt, the next step is to determine what type of pet is best for you. Bringing a new pet into your family is a life-long commitment and one that should not be rushed into! Below are some links that will help you make an informed decision. If you have additional questions, your veterinarian will be happy to assist you. Choosing the right pet for your family will go a long way towards ensuring that this life-long commitment is a rewarding and joyful one!
